If you have moderate to severe acne, we recommend you use Stieva A in conjunction with the Clearskincare Acne Pack. Like any prescription drug, Stieva A can cause side effects. This guide is to assist you to use Stieva A safely and appropriately. There are two absolutely essential conditions you must comply with if you wish to safely use Stieva A:

  1. You must stop using Stieva A if you fall pregnant.
  2. You must avoid any direct sun exposure on your face.

When you first start using Stieva A you can expect a reaction in your skin. It may become red, itchy and peely. Usually, this reaction starts after a few days of using Stieva A and can last for a further few days. Try to keep using the creams as the reaction usually settles. If you get a significant reaction and feel you want to stop using the creams, try using Stieva A every second night. Keep using all the other creams as per the instructions. After a few days if your skin stops reacting, try using the Stieva A again every night. Over the first few weeks of treatment your skin may feel drier than usual. This will settle. As your skin gets used to Stieva A, and the reaction settles, you will start to notice improvements in the appearance of your skin and a reduction in breakouts.

Stieva A 0.05% is a higher strength cream. it can only be used  once you have been using Stieva A 0.025% for at least 3 weeks with no reaction. Usually, we recommend alternating between the higher strength cream and your existing cream for at least one week or until you have no reaction.

You need to stay on the new strength Stieva A for at least one month or until you have no reaction to the cream. If you are still experiencing breakouts on Steiva A 0.05%, you may need to increase to Stieva A 0.1 %.

Most people stop breaking out completely with either Stieva A 0.05% or Stieva A 0.1 %. Some people get very good results with Stieva A 0.025% and never need to increase to a higher strength Stieva A cream.
