The Clearskincare Acne Pack is a topical acne treatment developed for acne affected skin.
Acne is the result of overactive sebaceous glands and excessive keratin (skin cells) production, leading to excessively oily flaky skin that is prone to blackheads and pimples. In acne prone skins, keratinocytes exfoliate at an abnormal rate. These cells fall into the hair follicles, become trapped along with excess sebum and cause clogged pores. These clogged pores are blackheads, when the sebum becomes infected they turn into pimples. As you cannot change your skin type you cannot stop this process permanently. However, you can control this process and minimise your acne breakout reoccurrence by undertaking the Clearskincare Acne Treatment Programme.
For breakout to mild acne we recomend using the Clearskincare Acne Pack. However if your acne is in the moderate to severe category, you may need to combine prescription creams with the Clearskincare Acne Pack. The Clearskincare Acne Pack consists of:
• Gel Cleanser;
• Smooth Skin 8%;
• Clearskin 2%;
• Microdermabrasion cream with glycolic;
• Sunscreen SPF30 (oil free);
• Clearskincare Easy Squeeze; and
• Full instructions.
Glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid very well tolerated by most skins, is a key ingredient in the Gel Cleanser. The Gel Cleanser cleans and gently exfoliates the skin, reduces the formation of excess keratin and oil to help prevent breakouts. The Gel Cleanser is soap free, of mildly acidic pH, has no added perfume or oils and is great for removing all make up except eye make up.
Smooth Skin 8%, with 8% glycolic acid, loosens the bonds between keratinocytes to induce exfoliation and prevent the formation of keratin/sebum plugs that initiate the breakout cycle.
Clearskin 2% utilises a gentle skin brightening cream that evens skin tone.
Microdermabrasion with glycolic uses aluminium oxide crystals as the abrasive combined with Smooth Skin 8% and is salon strength. The cream exfoliates the skin by loosening the bonds between dead and new skin cells, clears away dead skin cells and unclogs the pores, leaving the skin feeling smooth and clean.
The Clearskincare Sunscreen (SPF30+ oil free) helps prevent premature skin aging and pigmentation caused by UV radiation. The broadspectrum (UVA and UVB) sunscreen has been designed for everyday use on all skin types, and can be used as a moisturiser and under makeup.
The Clearskincare Easy Squeeze, a small polycarbonate blackhead and pimple extractor held between the forefinger and thumb, is unique. It incorporates an eyelet to exert patented vertical pressure on blackheads and pimples without damaging the skin.
Directions for Use:
AM: Cleanse skin with ½ gram (one pea) Gel Cleanser, rinse & dry skin.
Apply ½ gram Smooth Skin 8% (whole face, no eyes, leave on all day).
Apply Sunscreen +/- makeup.
PM: Cleanse skin with ½ gram (one pea) Gel Cleanser, rinse & dry skin.
Apply ½ gram Clear Skin 2% to the whole face including eyes – leave on all night.
Microdermabrasion cream with glycolic is used in the morning, every 2nd day, after cleansing.
